The Maryland Inn

Another one of the old brick buildings we saw in Annapolis, this is the Maryland Inn. As we were walking by, we noticed that a lot of the buildings have outside entrances below ground and you could see right into them. Some had offices but others were eating and/or drinking establishments. They were so cool and totally reminded me of the old TV show, Cheers. Remember how you could see people's legs as they walked by a window while the patrons were inside the bar? Totally reminded me of that and it was so cool! Did I already say that?

If you look closely at the bottom of the second photo, you can see the Starbucks emblem pointing to the coffee shoppe that was below ground.
Here's one of the side porches on this building, a double-decker! I'd love to have one of these on my home! It was decorated with leaf garlands all over the railings and looked so festive.

You are totally NOT going to believe this but the theme song to Cheers is playing RIGHT NOW on the Smooth Jazz station on satellite radio! How funny is that? Ha ha!

Only 297 days to go!
