Did you know that chives produce a very pretty lavender flower? If you didn't, you do now! Every year my chives plant has tons of beautiful flowers on it and they never cease to amaze me! But the flowers really aren't the best part of the plant - it's the long thin leaves with their onion-y aroma and flavor. They go great in lots of recipes that call for onions and can even compliment onions in recipes. They add just the right touch to ANY recipe!
