My last Christmas card for the year

Last one! I hope you have enjoyed my 12 days of Christmas cards and that maybe I inspired you just a little bit to create your own handmade cards.

I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and an exceptionally happy new year! Make it a great one!

A Cute Little Penguin from CTMH

This card is totally different from all previous cards I've posted because it has no trees but I hope you like it! That little penguin is pretty cute, huh?

This is the next to the last Christmas card I will be sharing because I must give some other pressing matters a bit of attention. After all, it is the Christmas season and there are things to be done to prepare.

Thanks for stopping by today! Happy crafting!

There's those trees again!

A little late with the card today, thanks to having to shovel snow again. At least it was just a couple inches and was easily pushed across the driveway and sidewalk for the most part. I sure didn't have to get on that boring treadmill today. The snow gave me a workout instead so I guess it is good for something after all! ;-)

On to the card.....I hope you aren't getting tired of these trees because I'm sure not! So many possibilities! And there's that 'Have a Holly Jolly Christmas' again, too! Haven't gotten tired of that yet either! Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a good one!

Warm Winter Wishes

I love the trees in this (G1063 Frosted cardmaking workshop) stamp set, don't you? They not only work for Christmas cards and/or scrapbook layouts but can be used for any year-round projects. They are gorgeous trees and can be inked in various colors to fit the project. And when you add a few dots of Z1484 red glitter gel to them, they are just perfect for Christmas trees. Love them!

Warmest Wishes!

I just love the color Pacifica from Close To My Heart and especially for Christmas card making. Here's a card like one I had created last year. I liked it so much I made another one and that's unusual for me. I find it very hard to make more than one of the exact same card - there are soooo many possibilities! - but when one design really grabs me, I have been known to make a second one. Hope you like this one!

Thanks for stopping by today! Stay safe & warm if you are dealing with the snowy weather like we are having today. Our first snowfall of the season and it looks so pretty! Off to take more photos! Have a great day!

  • Desert Sand, New England Ivy & Cranberry inks
  • Baker's Twine from Frosted card workshop
  • 3D Foam Tape
Thanks for stopping by today! Enjoy your weekend!

May the beauty of Christmas..... with you all year through. Such a simple card but love how it turned out! B1116 The Beauty of Christmas was a favorite Close To My Heart stamp set of mine when it first came out a few years back and it still is!

A plain white card base, 2 strips of torn white cardstock, a piece of foam tape and black ink is all I used to make this card. Quick & easy does it and it's so mail-able.

Thanks for stopping by today! Make it a good one!

Christmas Card #5

Not too sure about this card but thought I'd share anyway. Still trying to use up some older papers so here's another one from the Elemental pack from Close To My Heart but remember, it is no longer available. The Santa is also from a very old stamp set D1224 Holiday Joy, the border image is from the C1514 Pear & Partridge workshop stamp set - both of which are no longer available - and the sentiment is from the mini set M1028 Santa's Greeting. Ink and cardstock colors used are Olive & Desert Sand.

I hope you are getting some ideas for your own handmade Christmas cards. I'd love to see what you create, if you do get inspired!

Thanks for looking today! Have a good one!

4 on the 4th - December

1. Working on handmade Christmas cards is a lot of fun! I send out between 25-30 cards each Christmas and each one is unique. I don't like to mass-produce my handmade cards so I rarely ever make more than one of the same exact card unless it's coming down to the wire and I'm running out of time.

2. My basket full of supplies for when I work on my Becky Higgins Project Life mini album. I like to carry it to the family room and play while watching TV.

3. Love this antique wooden box (not sure what it's really called) with all it's drawers that my husband inherited from his mom after she passed away last year. I immediately put it to good use in my scrap room and I know she would be pleased to see it is being well taken care of.

4. I know this is silly but I took a photo of my TV when Good Morning America was saying goodbye and good luck to Sam Champion who was leaving the show to join The Weather Channel. I will miss seeing him on GMA and will need to be sure to watch TWC more often now. Best of luck to Sam - he's a great weatherman!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Holly Jolly Christmas Card

Do you think I'm wishing everyone a Holly Jolly Christmas? Of course!
I really love this stamp set with these trees and the sentiment so stay tuned for more cards using this set. Enjoy!

Thanks for looking! Have a crafty day!

Another Christmas Card

I love simple and this is one simple card! Pacifica cardstock and ink in several generations used again before running it through a Swiss Dot embossing folder. Can't get much simpler than that! And again, the best part is, it's mail-able! I am on a roll! Be back tomorrow with another card!

Thanks for stopping by!

OK, so I'm a little late....

I wanted to start posting a Christmas card a day here for maybe the first 12 days of the month but have been so busy I totally forgot. The best laid plans, right? Well, I'll start here with these 2 cards I recently made and they will cover the first 2 days of the month. My card for day 3 will be up hopefully by the end of the day but don't hold your breath!

I created these 2 cards with some old papers from Close To My Heart's Elemental paper pack which is no longer available but which I still have plenty of. The little tree is M1032 Tree Delights and the sentiment is from D1562 Frosted Cardmaking Workshop stamp set both of which are still available here. On the first card I used Pacifica ink and Smoothie on the second. Neither color is a traditional Christmas color but they worked perfectly with the papers and I love how the cards turned out. The best part? They are so very mail-able with no bulkiness to them to get messed up on the way to their recipient. Love that! Now off to make more cards!
